How much does a ticket cost to travel in Amsterdam?

The cost of tickets for travel in Amsterdam can vary depending on the type of ticket and where you are purchasing it. Here are some general cost guidelines:

Single Journey Tickets: A standard single-journey ticket, valid for an hour on GVB trams, buses, or metros, costs a few euros.
Day Passes: GVB offers day passes that range from 24-hour up to 7-day passes. Prices increase incrementally based on the length of validity, starting from around 8 euros for a 24-hour pass to about 37 euros for a 7-day pass.
Amsterdam Travel Ticket: This special tourist ticket includes unlimited travel by train (NS railway) between Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and any station in Amsterdam, as well as all GVB trams, buses, ferries, and the metro. A 1-day pass could be around 17 euros, a 2-day pass around 22.50 euros, and a 3-day pass could be around 28 euros. Prices can change, so it’s always best to check the most current pricing.
